From staring at cameras on the shelf as a kid wondering what they do to capturing a horse galloping at 35 mph, I’ve always been interested in photography.
Covering all disciplines of equestrian sports, I’m drawn to the energy, emotion, and excitement these beautiful creatures exude through their movements. Their hunger for competition matched with a rider’s determination forms an unbreakable bond that I strive to capture.
Through observing, listening, and embracing the nature around us, I’ve found a sense of calm outdoors. This calm allows for the weight of everyday life and schedules to fade away and an appreciation for the natural world around us to rise through and shine bright. Focusing on this internal appreciation, my goal is to capture images that evoke that same emotion through my compositions.
Live events give us the ability to experience a raw and unfettered experience of human creativity. Capturing that energy and those hidden moments before and after a show gives us a more holistic view into that creation and allows us to grow closer to it.
Working closely with designers and homeowners, I’ve been able to capture their design vision through compositions focusing on lighting, finishes, shadows, and textures to provide a seamless flow of the space through the lens.
One of my first interests outside of photography has always been learning, driving, and working on cars. By blending both of these passions, it’s given me the opportunity to capture how I view these machines and their speed.
